Improv 301
introduces students to the long form improvisation structure known as
"The Harold," developed by Del Close.

"The Harold" is a series of scenes inspired by a single suggestion that
fit together into one cohesive half hour piece.

Students learn how to

1) Perform openings

2) Create scenes inspired by an opening

3) Perform
"Group Games"

4) Second and third beats (returning to scenes later in
the piece).



Course meets for 8 sessions, each 2 hours long.

You cannot enroll in this course until you receive written notice that
you have successfully completed Improv 201. ONLY if 10 days have passed
since your last class and you have not received this

Students should have access to a computer and stable, robust internet access, webcam & microphone. 


This
online course uses Google Classroom and Google Meet programs to conduct
live sessions with your instructor and fellow students.

Ali Ghandour, teacher

Ali Ghandour Ali Ghandour is an actor and writer from Azusa, CA who can be seen performing every weekend with 'ASSSSCAT', 'Bangarang!', & 'The Dragons' and monthly with 'Benetton.' TV credits include The Unicorn, Ghosted, Drunk History, The Goldbergs, The Guest Book, and The Truth About Christmas.

After graduating from UCLA, Ali and some buds founded the film/improv team The Wait List where they produced sketches and short films, including their original series 'Teenage Mountain Lion,' which premiered on Hulu.
Ali was also selected as a performer for the ABC Discovers Talent Showcase but his mother is most proud of a commercial where he eats a big sandwich.
