Josh Simpson, teacher
Josh Simpson is a comedian living in Los Angeles. He's written for Funny or Die, Team Coco and an FX Pilot for a talk show called "What's Going On? with Mike Mitchell".
Josh made a short film in 2016 called "Try Hard: The Rex Derby Story" that you can watch on his Lazy Susan YouTube channel along with his other random videos.
Josh hosts (what he thinks is) a really fun podcast called The MEAT Improv on Boardwalk Audio that mixes storytelling and improv. He also writes and performs his own characters. He appeared on The UCB Show on Seeso as Kitty Katt Williams.
Josh improvises at the Assembly! show on Tuesday nights and performs a new character the first Saturday of every month at DC: Hollywood for Ugly People - both shows at UCB Sunset.
Josh once started a Twitter account called @BPGlobalPR to satirize BP's public relations efforts during the 2010 oil spill. He ended up gaining 190,000 followers and raising $20k for The Gulf Restoration Network. Time Magazine wrote an article about the account called "Brevity is the Soul of Wit", and Josh gave a TED Talk while wearing a ski mask to protect his precious identity. It was surreal.
Josh has a dog named Dre that can perform amazing tricks. You should ask him to show you if you see them walking around together.
Why can't I register?
