The UCB Training Center teaches quality comedic scenes focus on one central comedic idea: referred to as "The Game" of the scene.
Students will be taught: 1) identifying "games", 2) heightening - finding new ways to make your scenes get funnier from start to finish, 3) realizing how patterns support the "game," 4) second beats (returning to scenes later in a piece).
*** NOTE: THIS IS AN ENTIRELY ONLINE CLASS. FOR A LIMITED TIME THIS CLASS CAN REPLACE IMPROV 201.
You would be able to sign up for Improv 301 when the Training Center reopens.

Gavin Speiller is a writer and performer living in New York. He can currently be seen improvising at the UCB Theatre every Saturday with Death By Roo Roo. Gavin has improvised in many, many shows at UCB (Asssscat, Outlook Of The Poet, Harold Night & more) and has written for many as well (Beneath Gristedes, Gavin Speiller Needs Your Approval, Now That's What I Call Rogue Elephant! & more). He's also written/acted in many web videos, traveled across the country with UCB's National Touring Company and been in a bunch of TV commercials.
