PURSUE PLEASURE, AVOID PAIN! with Johnny MeeksThis is an acting-focused class that will explore organic, emotionally believable scenework with an emphasis on using your own specifics (POV/experiences/ideas) to drive your improv. By pursuing pleasure instead of pain in the scene, you will be more connected to your scene partner and find it easier to play game. We will explore making choices that will matter to your character and make you more invested in your scenes. You will spend less time fighting in scenes and more time playing. We will use the La Ronde form to develop ideas internally and organically, earn the games and then blow them out!
Class meets at UCB Sunset Training Center; Room #229
