Improvisation for Film and TV with Shira Piven and Tarvis Watson

The foundation of the class: physical, ensemble oriented, play hard, enjoy, get out of your head. We'll do some Viewpoints and Theatre Games and in particular an exercise in which you'll build a character by creating a fictional world with a group. We'll improvise within a beated storyline. We'll play with being simple for the camera while staying outrageous. (Think of shows like The Office and Curb your Enthusiasm, Mike Leigh films, and others.)

This class employs topics and exercises outside the UCB Training Center curriculum.

Prerequisite: completion of Improv 201 or teacher approval

Maximum class size is 16
